How do I approach people and ask them to pose nude for photography layouts? Actually, I was faced with this same situation for a photography project in college. I used this approach: I talked to the person I wanted to use for the photo. I told them about the subject matter, provided small sketches of the layout, and warned them before they accepted that there would be nudity. Let them decide. Don't try to trick them into accepting then dropping the nudity aspect on them at the shoot, and trying to guilt them into it. Most models will walk away if that happens. I was lucky enough to get more models then I actually needed. Oh, and all the potential models I spoke to wanted to know exactly what the photo was for, and who might see it. With more people posting images on the Internet, most models want some sort of insurance that they won't show up there unless they want to. Nothing is more embarrassing then finding out later that your grandparents were checking you out. I would like to know how as well...hmm Need to saw them some green bills. with a fistfull of dollars maybe? Advertise at your local college or in an arts magazine if and get them to come to you, if you are doing this from an artistic perspective. If you are talking pornography, then don't. Just keep trying and when you do, be on their level. Do you socialise much? Best way would be with mutual friends or people you spend an evening with then you can have an in depth discussion about your work and show to them that is a serious thing you are trying to do. Compliment them and explain why it is that you want them for the nude layouts. The more real and genuine, the less sleezy, the better. Check out the website musecube.com |
