If i'm looking to get into the nude photography business without having to pay a lot of money? |
I would like to get into the amatuer nude photography business, but it seems like it's not a real big business in Madison, Wisconsin. Anyone know how to find models who will pose for little or no upfront money? I know it's not the best way to start, but I was thinking of paying as the photos sell type deal. You could make a deal with them by paying them an acceptable minimum fee for posing and offering them a percentage of the profit when you sell the pictures. Working on the principle that the lower their fee is, the bigger the percentage you will give them. For instance, you could say that if they do it free, you will give them 50% of the profit. Don't be greedy at the beginning. Share the profit with them to get you started. Once you have some money set aside, you can just pay them their fee and keep all the profit for yourself. What you need to do however is to work out how much money you can make from this. And you also need to be generous with your models if you want them to work for you. As to where to find them... Model agencies on the Internet? But how do they get to Wisconsin? Unless you are prepared to pay for their travel expenses, you might need to move where those girls are. Why don't you start off easy and become your own model first? If that isn't an option (For many reasons), perhaps you can ask a friend who is comfortable in their own skin and trusts you. Not many people will consider displaying their naked bodies for free (Unless it's for stock photography or it's you posing for your own photos). You might want to try posting on Deviantart.com You might find some willing models around you. Photographer Ask your friends to pose for you. Make it fun, you can all have a good time. This is what you really want from life? OK ....... go to bars or clubs that have beauty contests, wet T-shirt contests or something like that. Volunteer your services to the bar, free photos and prints for the bar and participants, (within reason) and don't forget the model release forms. You will need a good digital SLR camera and lenses and a flash, if indoors. You must have some talent and style behind the lens. If you are just there to take pictures of naked ladies for your trophy wall, forget it. After you build your "resume" you can start advertising you desires. Remember........release forms and copies of valid id's of all models is essential. Having a female helper when shooting makes you look more professional, covers your *** and makes it look like you are serious and not there for cheap thrills or dates! |
