My friend was asked to do nude art photography but she is in the military, is she allowed to? |
The email asks: Would you be interested in appearing in my already established book w/cd series that caters to artists who paint/sculpt the human figure? The website looks legit, but was wondering if she would be in trouble being nude in photography regardless of the reason. She will not get in trouble as long as she does not wear a uniform or anything that id's her as a member of the military. The AF SSGT got in trouble because she was wearing parts of her uniform. Hope that answers your question................Shadow Stalker first, post the website so WE can check it out. second, someone got in trouble for posing in Playboy, but it MAY have been because her uniform was visible. She should check with her JAG. She knows very well she'd get in trouble. Depends if it is art...should be OK..any kind of Porn is a No No she would probably get at least an Article 15 She is not allowed. End of discussion. She should very well know the applicable regs and memorandums for her branch of service and what articles of the UCMJ she'll get hammered by. Considering the very recent case of USAF SSG Michelle Manhart getting hammered for posing in Playboy, any sort of demonstration of public nudity is asking to be guillotined. Same goes for males (though as the Fort Bragg porn ring case shows, males tend to do worse). |
