Whenever I e-mail a picture it's big-800k or more. Everyone else's are around 20-40k. How do I resize mine? |
It's only on pictures that I take with my digital camera. 4 megapixel, Olympus. A 4MP image is going to be very large in size. Get Photoshop and use the resizing and DPI control You will need to use an Image software package (i.e. Photoshop) and increase the compression of the Jpeg or decrease the resolution. u should be able to resize it in a photo enhancing program. or in the paint program. I think you should be able to change that option when you save the picture file onto ur comp(not sure). You need a picture viewer/converter or editor. I like Irfanview. You need an editing program. Paint is built into XP but I would recommend Picasa2 from Google. It will maintain a library and allow you to resize any picture while maintaining the original. you can upload it to this site and resize it. then right click it and click on SAVE IMAGE AS to download it again to your hard drive. You would need to use a picture program like Photoshop. Then you can go to "Image Size" and make it smaller. Also, if you change the dpi "dots per inch" setting to the internet setting, which is 72 instead of 150 or 300, it will make it smaller as well. there's a program called ACdsee Faststone Image Resizer |
