Please Help Me!!?

Somebody please help me! I have an Olympus D-370 digital camera. When I turn it on, a blue screen comes up...I have two choices...Format or Cancel. When I choose cancel, the same choices keep coming back. Sometimes it'll let me look at a few pix, but when it gets to a certain pic, it says Card Error and shuts off. When I plug the USB cable in, my comp says the request cannot be performed because of an I/O device error. I've been to Olympus.com to try and troubleshoot the problem, but so far, I haven't found anything anywhere that has been useful. I really need to get my pix off the camera and to my comp. PLEASE I am begging for ANY help that you can provide. Thanks.

Use a memory card reader plugged in to your computer's USB port and see if the card will read.

If it does, download the photos and re-format the card. If it doesn't, say goodbye to the pics and format the card.

I have a D-360 and this usually works.

while driving on freeway, carefully roll down window, and place outside window, this will solve problem in more ways then one... sorry my sarcasm isn't amusing to you but I don't know about your problem and don't have a better solution... perhaps I shouldn't answer quetions of which I know not the answer but I have just finished my glass of wine and am feeling kind of goofy. Yes as you are reading this you don't care and neither do I good luck and perhaps it is just a bum memory card? I would suggest taking out memory card if there is an internal memory built in and seeing if it works like that...

Are you using the build in storage in the camera or the a storage card (smartmedia in the case of your camera)?

It sounds like the storage memory is corrupt and needs replacing.

If you are using the internal camera memory, you need to send your camera in for repair.

Have you given your local cam shop a shot at it. You might check with the local paper photo mansometimes sholl have a pretty sharp cookie too...especially the sports department
