Olympus fe-230 sd slot?

i just bought a olympus fe-230 and cant find the slot to put my 1gb sd card on the digital camera.by the way i dont know if you need to turn it on because i just bought it and dont know yet but can anyone help me with this i cant find the slot only the usb plug ins and the battrie slots?

First of all...Olympus cameras only use xD picture cards, so I hope you didn't actually buy an SD card instead, which would be useless.

Anyway, the memory card goes into the same slot as the battery.
Pages 57-59 ( U.S. manual) show you where and how to insert the xD card.
Or look up...'xD picture card' in the Index.
You will need to Format the card before you use it (look up FORMAT in the Manual's Index)...and format it regularly after that (but only after you have uploaded all photos to your PC first, as formatting will permanently erase everything). Formatting will prevent card errors.
