I can not figure out what is wrong this camcorder as my Olympus digital camera was never this hard. Also did anybody elses camcorder seem to be magnatized? I took it out of my drawer and a nail was stuck to it. Uninstall the drivers. Uninstall all the software that came with the cam. Reboot your computer after you uninstall everything.
You really do not need to connect the cam with a USB if you just get a SD Flash USB card reader instead if all you want to do is get the pictures off it. If you are only using the internal 16Meg memory then you will have to use a USB connection. Personally, I would get a SD Flash card and not deal with the cam to computer connection issues.
Install the downloaded drivers before you connect your cam. Connect your cam only when asked by the software (win98se or WinMe). Download and read page 44 of the manual for correct installation instructions. After you install the driver, remove the cam and reboot your computer. Connect cam to computer after reboot. the windows hardware install wizard should work silently without any input from you. If it says that it will need to search for a new driver. DO NOT let it. Cancel the installation. You will need help to override the default driver that Windows has associated with this device. Without knowing your OS I cannot describe the process further. ok first of all that camcorder sucks! the quality of the picture is HORRIBLE! congrats you have just wasted your money for NOTHING! and i think u plug it into the pc or theres something in the menu......... |
