I can't view .dat files.?

Loaded up the pc with still pictures from an Olympus digital camera. Burned them onto a disc. Can watch the pictures on my DVD player but not on my pc. Why not? Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.

.dat files are data ASCII files. Your photos should not have that file extension. They should be .jpg. You can try renaming them, but I'm not certain it will work.
