How do I get my camera to stop taking blurred pictures? |
I am an amateur photographer, and I use a Olympus FE-230 camera. This is my first digital camera. My problem here is that I will take pictures of a still object, but the result is very blurred. I have started using a tripod, which helps, but some pics still come out blurred. What can I do to stop this? I don't know but here is a poem to make you feel happy. is your camera set on automatic focus? check your shutter speed and your manual focus. One of those is probably giving you the blurred shots. Or you might be too close on your subject. If it is low light you may need to use a flash, read the manual and play around with settings, check to see that you dont have it on macro. There are three sources of blur. One is subject movement during slow shutter speeds, another is out of focus issues when attempting to photograph a subject but having the camera focusing on something else and the camera movement issue causes when the exposure is made at slow shutter speeds. Continue with the tripod for sure. Consider raising ISO setting to 100-400. Use the self timer. Put focus symbol on subject and push button and then recompose the pick if you want to have subject off center somewhat and then let go and let the timer take the shot. Check to see if auto focus is turned off. If it is turn it on. Also read your manual very carefully and make sure what the optimal distances are for your camera. Shutter speeds on some digital cameras is slower when you are shooting without a flash, always shoot with the flash to get the fastest shutter speed. Hope that helps. The FE-230 performs poorly, taking an irritatingly long amount of time between shots. After a 2.5-second start-up time, the camera takes a shot once every 2.4 seconds. With the flash enabled, that time is increased to 3.2 seconds. The shutter also performed sluggishly, lagging 0.9 seconds with a high contrast target and 1.6 seconds with a low-contrast target. I used to shoot with FE190. My problem was soft on the edge. Its not blurry only soft. Could be your problem too? I'm sorry if this is insulting, but I have no knowledge of your prior experience. Often the cause of blurry pictures is moving your hand too soon. You may be used to taking pictures with a non-digital camera. There is considerable shutter lag with point and shoot digitals and you have to be sure to hold still for long enough for the camera to actually take the picture. This will take up to a full second. Watch the little green light (usually) on the back of your camera. Hold the button half-way down and wait until it lights up steady instead of blinking. This means the auto-focus operation is complete. Press the button the rest of the way down and hold it there for about a second to allow time for the shutter to actually take the picture. Good luck! Yashie points out that your camera will be especially bad in this regard. The main reason for blurred pictures is motion ( the subject moves or the hand shakes when pressing the button) . just dont use the magnifier and you go close to the person or thing and take the picture thats what i did with my camera its the same problem you cant keep using the magnifier thats why!!! |
