On a sunny day it's hard to see an image when trying to set up for a picture on a digital camera. Help!?

I'm unable to purchase a hood for my Olympus D-435.

Ya, that's the major downside to a digital camera. You have to switch to the good ol' fashion look through the viewfinder method on sunny days! Either that or simply cup your hand over it to create some shade. Good luck!
