I would like clarity as at present my photos look hazy not not focused. I am using an Olympus 810 at present The biggest suspect here is probably the aspect ratio difference between your camera and your HDTV if you believe that your pictures are coming out of the camera OK. Most HDTVs today deliver content in a 16:9 aspect ratio, whereas most cameras (including your Oly 810) deliver content in a 4:3 aspect ratio. As a result, when you're displaying images, depending on the zoom mode of your HDTV, the pictures may look stretched/distorted and "hazy" as you described it. One cure for this would be to get a camera that records images in the aspect ratio of your HDTV. By doing this, you would be recording images in an aspect ratio that would be native to your TV and may look a lot better.
The Panasonic TZ3 may be a good choice in this regard because you can choose the aspect ratio that your images are recorded in, including 4:3 (aspect ratio for most standard TVs) and 16:9. I don't think megapixels will be much of an issue in this regard either.
My best guess would be that a change in aspect ratio may provide you with more desirable results. The 810 is not that old of a camera, so I find it hard to believe that the age of the camera would be the issue. |
