My digital camera won't focus properly?

I have an Olympus SP 700. Recently, it won't focus. I can focus if I zoom in or out but the autofocus won't work especially in low light. It seems to 'hunt' back and forth and often will just take a blurry picture. What can I do?

It could be that you need a trip to your local Olympus certified repair station.

A simple adjustment may be all you need.

dont know when you bought it but it came out in 2005..its possible its just met its doom. have you used it alot? anywhere near the beach? sand is bad.
i realize its out of warranty, so the repair may be more than the cost of new camera.
