Computer does not detect digital camera?

I have an Olympus FE170. When I connect it by USB cable to the computer, and try to up load pictures it sends a message "unable to detect camera". My camera is fairly new and have uploaded pictures twice before and never had a problem. I checked to make sure everything is plugged properly. Any help?

Try to DELETE THE SOFTWARE you already loaded and try to install again. Then PLUG in camera. Might be your software. Also check cord. If all else fails get in touch with Olympus Tech support.

I also had a similar prblm.
First remove all the components or the software.
Reinstall the software
Then, plug in the wire.
I hope it will work !!!

if you want to use the camera software reinstall it and check for updates at the sofware manufacturer website or if your computer is windows xp you can extract pictures manually ,go to my computer, and then at "devices with removable storage" look for your memory card or camera, open the files and copy your pictures in your computer.
