Digital camera's not turning on?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?

its an Olympus Stylus 740 and is in perfect condition. there is a small dent in the battery, but i have never had problem with it before. it just got fully charged, so that can't be it. my battery always has trouble getting out, but that has never affected my camera's ability turn on. besides the battery, it is in absoleutly perfect condition. what is wrong with it?

btw, my camera is really high quality so idk about it just packing in and also, i got it for 2006 christmas.

If you have a spare battery - try it to see if it makes a difference. If the camera is still no turning on, you would have at least confirmed that that the problem is with the camera and not the battery. I'd suggest contacting the Olympus for warranty service - since you've only recently bought this camera.

Cameras etc have a habit of just packing in without warning
