Do the Olympus OM10 lenses work with Olumpus digital cameras? The answer is Yes, you need to get the OM to 4/3 adapter from olympus. It runs $99 from Olympus and works on the E-1/E500/E-300/E-330. Posted by rick oleson on August 24, 2002 at 15:37:49:

You've stumbled upon one of the most wonderful things about Olympus: they never changed their lens mount in the history of the OM system.
All OM mount lenses will work on all OM cameras, with the exception of a very few Autofocus lenses made during the brief and misguided foray of the OM-77... you're unlikely to encounter one of these, and it will look strange enough to be obvious if you do. as i recall, the problem with these is they neglected to provide a manual focus ring on them; otherwise they too would work fine.
all third-party aftermarket OM mount lenses, of any age, will work on all OM cameras without exception.
You can also use any OM winder, either by Olympus (winder 1 and winder 2) or the third party ones, though i wouldn't put much faith in most of those. -- rick :)=

Thanks for the Info. i have another question, as I just bought this OM10, it has manual adapter as one of the setting, now I assume that when I put it on this mode, I can set my f-stops and speed, but it also has an auto setting as well, which does it on its own , however, I keep seeing people selling the OM10 Manual Adapters to override the auto setting, but why do you need that? Can't you automatically take manual photos? At least I have assumed that is what i have been doing? Do you know the answer to this? Thanks for all your info. Cheers, leah

If you want to use the Manual Adapter the control on the top of the camera has to be moved from Automatic to Manual/Flash. This sets the shutter speed to 1/60 sec if you are not using a dedicated Flash. If you want to set to other shutter speeds you have to set the speeds on the manual adapter. no yes I agree with clavestone, you can get the adaptor cheaper on ebay |
