Olympus SP-350 packaged?

Look over packages for digital camera Olympus SP-350 by photos shown on digital camera stores on internet, I saw they had been package by box (carton) or by plastic (clear pvc).
So, what's different? Why? (applied for other products)
Somebody can help me: Which one bettter?

they are the same. the box is how it comes if you order it by mail. the plastic wrap is how you buy it at Costco.
