Is it advisable to have a mobile phone with built-in digital camera or to have the camera separate?

can I get good photos from a mobile phone with built-in camera similar to the photos that can be obtained from a normal digital camra like Olympus FE-200

a camera by itself.. you get better quality photos in higher resolutions

ALWAYS have a seperate camera--camera phones are great, but they can't provide you with everything you are looking for.

Nokia and ericcson make good camera phones
but for a LOT of money.
It would be better to pay the same amount of money for a
separate camera that takes
a lot better pictures.
unless you have a ton of money and need to spend it.

My gf just bought a new LG MUZIQ phone and it has a 1.3 MP camera in it. Immediately we tested by taking a pic and uploading to her pc and WOW waht quality from a camera phone!!!

If you WANT a camera separate then buy one but some phones even have up to a 2MP camera in them and that is some great quality for having your phone and camera in one!!!
