How do I convert short vids from my digi still camera card to files I can upload to Youtube?

I'm using an old Olympus digital camera and cannot find the manual (I've looked online also). I am using an Olympus XD picture card. I can open the short vids through Quicktime on my PC but cannot save them so that they are viewable/compatible to upload to Youtube. If anyone can step me through this I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

this might help

1) click on the which ever drive the xD picture card is in from MyComputer

2) this should open up in the same window, a way to view the files which you have saved on the xD card

3) select the files you want to copy over to your computer (when selecting multiple files, hold ctrl while clicking)

4) ctrl+x (cut them from that window)

5) work the directory over to where you want to save the pictures (MyDocuments, MyVideos, MyPictures, or wherever)

6) when you get to the location, click on empty space in the window

7) ctrl+v (paste the cut files from your xD card)

8) open up your internet browser, go to youtube and upload the video files from the location to which you have just moved them to.

If it is playable on Quicktime i believe the format is a .mov. youtube will upload .mov files. what is the error you are getting when you are trying to upload the movie?
