I was taking a picture and I accidently dropped my camera.Now the pic doesn't come out clear. what should i do

It fell off of my bedroom chest and hit one of the drawers. Now when i take a picture, it has lines going through it. I don't know what to do. It's an Olympus digital camera that i just got in october. Please help me if you can !

If the camera cost you less than $200, throw it away. It will cost at least that much to fix. That is the bad news. Here are a few ideas that may get it to work:
-reboot the camera.....either by menu options, or possibly removing battery for a day or so.
-remove and replace lens....if it is removable.

I hope by now everyone knows that digital cameras are sensitive precision instruments ... not cell phones or MP3 players and need to be handled as such.

Unfortunately dropping a camera is not covered under warranty. You can either get the camera repaired or buy a new one.
