Digital camera memory card help?

Hi i have an olympus sp-310 digital camera and even tho the memory card is empty when i turn it on it bleeps and says memory card full. there is a way to reset it or something which makes it ok again but i cant remember how. i have just had a baby and am desperate to take some photos can anyone help me asap?

Try formatting it. There should be a setting to format the card.

The memory card might be locked. Look for a little switch on the side of the memory card
