My Olympus D-580 camera is showing low battery and turning off, even if there is a new battery in it, why?

That's normal if you used ordinary AA-batteries.
Digital cameras need high performance batteries. The package should specifically state that they are suitable for digital cameras, or that they are 2100 mAh or higer.

ur camera has a short somewhere that is draning ur battery to quick. my advice is have it sent in or just get a new camera

Well it depends on how long you'v had the camera, if the batterys are rechargable, then then you might me rechargeing them to mutch.
