Can I convert a digital camera into a webcam? I have an Olympus C-5050 and I'd like to use it for Skype.?

Generally the answer is NO.

A very few cameras have added this feature to their compact digital cameras, but it is a marketing tool more than a practical feature ... the same goes for cameras that include some kind of video capacity.

Neither have a place on a camera for serious photographers. If you will notice, no DSLR's have either of those features.

If you want video, buy a video camera. If you want a webcam, spend the $40 and buy one.

There r some cameras which you can use as a webcam but just for that short time which the camera turns off by itself
