I just downloaded some pictures off of my digital Camera, how do I resize the pictures without using paint?

The digital Camera is an Olympus camera. I have Olympus Master and the pictures are downloaded there and are also located in a folder.

If you have an editing suite, such as Photo Studio or similar, call up the photo, Mask it completely and 'cut'. Close the original as it was as you may need it again. The 'cut' version, Mask it completely and go to 'Transform', then to 'Resize'. You can make it any size, trial and error makes no difference, as you will still have the original as I suggested. Something that may help you if keep it in its original size, and when printing it, go to Print Setup and you will see it's intended size on a sheet of paper on the screen, you can enlarge it, or make it smaller quite simply......

Look at the Effects menu of the Olympus Master program. Failing that, it's going to have to be Paint or something similar. You can download freeware image manipulation software from www.download.com.

Do you mean resize the file? A JPG is a nice compact file size. Your computer should also have image-viewing software. Check under Programs for anything that has the name photo or image in it. You should be able to resize it there. I use photoshop. I think it's a worthy investment if you plan on printing your own pictures. As far as a photo viewer, I use Picasa, you can dowload it for free from google. It automatically organizes you images for you. I hope this helps.

If the pictures are jpg, and you insert them into a Word file, for example, Right-click the picture for a sub-menu. Click Format Picture. Click the Size tab. Set the size you want. Suggest you first put a checkmark in the box to preserve the ratio.

You could download the free Picasa software from google.com and it will help you in resizing and all that ediiting stuff. That's probably your best bet, cuz its free. If you need to print it in a bigger size just use MICROSOFT WORD.
