Can I use a Sunpak 2000 BZ Flash with hot shoe fitting on a digital camera? (like a Olympus 500E)?Yes, most hot shoes are pretty standard, even on newer digital systems. I can say this with certainty regarding Canon systems. The same should be true with other manufacturers. Most digital cameras cannot stand more than about a 12 volt trigger voltage. I have posted a link to a site that has tested a whole lot of flash units.
Check with Olympus and see what voltages their hot shoe can accept and the check the chart on the link below.
