Need help buying a digital camera. Choices are Kodak c330 and Olympus FE100
If somebody could explain to me the difference between motion jpeg and mpeg4? And which is better or more efficient? They are both pretty much similar. They both take AA batteries. This can be a killer. Ideally you should look out for Li-ion battery type or rechargeable battery type. Also the memory card type. Kodak takes the SD memory card, which is also used by most of the other manufsacturers. Kodak slightly edges out in front of the Olympus this time (for me) on the models you have selected.
motion jpeg and mpeg4 are different compression techniques. Motion jpeg compresses each video field into a JPEG image and MPEG is a compression of the video. I think!!!!
Good luck....
Battery Wizard I would recommend checking out the reviews from Cnet, the Kodak c330, http://reviews.cnet.com/Kodak_EasyShare_... got a score of 6.4 out of 10 and the Olympus FE100, http://reviews.cnet.com/Olympus_FE_100/4... a score of 4.2 out of 10. The Kodak c330 is the best choice between the two you are looking at but you can check out some other cameras at Cnet as well, http://reviews.cnet.com/Digital_cameras/...
I also recommend checking out Steves-Digicams for reviews as well, http://www.steves-digicams.com/
If I can suggest another model to look at check out the Canon PowerShot A520, http://www.abesofmaine.com/viewproduct.a... |
