I just bought an Olympus FE-340..?

and i found out that it takes custom liIon batterys and there is one in the box and a charger for it. How long would that battery last just taking normal pictures would you say? and do you think i would need to buy a spare battery. Its 8.0 megapixels if that makes any difference :)

Olympus indicates that the FE-340 is capable of taking 240 pictures on a single charge which is borderline average. Expect the real number to be 50 more or less.

The average person wont take more that 240 pictures in a day. Just remember to recharge the night before you plan on using it. If you think you'll be taking more than 140 pictures a day it may be a good idea to buy a spare.

Megapixels have nothing to do with battery life by the way.
