How does your digital camera function in Snow? |
Any particular brand you have had problems with or ones that work extremely well? I have an Olympus Mju 820 and am going to Europe for a month in the first half of 2009. Wondering if anyone has had problems with this camera in the cold climate. You shouldn't have any problems with the snow. Even if you drop it in the snow, as long as you pick it quickly there is usually not enough moisture to cause any damage. When you are outside look for the snow shooting mode, many cameras have this and it really helps when taking pictures that include lots of snow or any bright white. I live in Colorado. I've taken my camera out in the snow many times without any problems. I also love taking my camera to the botanic gardens and haven't had any problems in the green room (my lens fogs up, but after 10-20 min. it's pretty clear). I have the Canon Rebel XTi. I have a Fujifilm Finepix F10. I've used it in the snow and it took good pictures. I've been very happy with it. Having said that, it is NOT waterproof. Your camera should be just fine. |
