What program can I open this file with or how can I convert it?

I have a QuickTime Movie file off an Olympus camera... it won't open with movie maker and I don't have QuickTimePro. What other programs can I edit it with? Or how can I convert it? Will Adobe Premier video editor open it?

Please help!

The QuickTime download is not needed most of the time and will slow down your system. There for these recommended options are the BEST way to go!

As for playing these types of file, i know a few programs that will prove useful. i'd definitely give VLC Player a shot, it's good for just about all movie formats. Windows Media Player Classic plays .MOV files aswell.

But as for converting these files and editing them... that's another story. i would've thought that your camera would've come with a CD containing those types of programs, but if not... Whenever i need to convert files from one format to another, i like to just type in Google "(file extension one) to (file extension two) converter". Sometimes it works sometimes it's doesn't. You have to make sure you don't get a gay one though which leaves a water-mark on your video because it isn't registred or anything.

It should open in the free version of QuickTime (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ ).

Also give VLC a try (http://www.videolan.org ). It plays almost any file type you can possible imagine, including QuickTime MP4s and MOVs.
