I found an Olympus PEN EES camera from 1981. How much should I sell it for? I'm not sure if this is valuable. |
I don't know anything about cameras, but there were no batteries in it, but its looks like its brand new.. the lens is a little foggy though. Actually the EES is a lot older than 1981. It was made from 1962-66. As Jim pointed out its a half frame camera from the 60's. To check and see if it still works take it out moderate light (enough light to read by, maybe a little brighter) and rotate the outer dial to a white number. Now look directly into the lens and press the shutter. You dont even need the shutter to fire. You should see the aperture blades move open as you press the shutter button. If the blades dont move then its just something pretty at this point. Now if that works ok set the shutter to fire and press the shutter release. If you hear it click your probably in business. Now its worth about $10 on eBay. Valuable, not really. Odds are it is not working if the batteries leaked or corroded. You might be able to get $5 for it on eBay. Most people have gone to digital now. does it work? |
