Good digital camera $300 and under?

I;m looking for a new digital camera thats small and compact, something convenient for travelling. I was thinking of getting the Sony Cybershot DSCT70P (the touch screen one). I was also considering the waterproof Olympus camera, because i'm going to australia and thought that would be more practical for the beach and the water and everything. Any recommendations?

Based on personal experience, I would recommend a Canon Powershot. They are amazing, and available for under $300.00

Although, I have used a waterproof Olympus, and it was extremely cool for taking pictures/videos in wave pools, etc. It was a great, compact camera, and it was very slim as well.

I strongly recommend Olympus Camedia C-180, 5.1MP, 4 x Digital Zoom. This is a low range camera and it is easy to operate and produces clear image. It only costs about S$200 plus. Olympus waterproof camera costs more than $300.00.

I have used this camera for 3 years and I am still using it now.

It is not necessary to buy a charger as I do not use a charger . I use Panasonic Oxyride batteries which is very powerful and can take 200 over shots with just 2 batteries. What I mean is this camera uses 2 Pcs AA Battery.

Buy the Casio Exilm EX-Z75 7.2 Mega Pixels it cost around $260.95! Perfect for you cost. Dont listen to the guy who said touch screen that cost about $640.99.. Hope i helped!
