Is Olympus a good brand of cameras?

I own an Olympus point and shoot, and have been very happy with it, even though it is now getting a bit long in the for a digital. I think they make good cameras, although there are always limitations with any design. Try looking at the review sites to get a feel for the competition before making an assessment of whether the discount you can get is worthwhile. I have included the links on a couple of these below.

I think all brands of camaras are good, its the model you need to watch out for . For exampe Nikon makes a great camara if you want to pay $600 anything less is junk . If you want to pay around $200 look at the Canon sd850 I'm looking to buy a new camara and have done alot of research . Check out cnet.com for reviews ... some Olympus camares are good some are junk

I have a Olympus five megapixel and the pictures are truly great .
The brands like Olympus,Nikon,Cannon and Minolta uses quality lenses .
Whatever you decide to buy stick with a good name brand .

i don't like olympus. i had one at one point, and it would constantly throw noise into everything

i suggest what i use: sony dsc-h5
maybe a higher model if you're willing to spend more money
