I went to Panasonic website to d/l the latest drivers for my digital camcorder. It acted as though it downloaded, I ran the program, asked to restart computer, etc. When I restarted and connected the camcorder via USB, it stated that it could not find software necessary for the camera?? What could be causing this? We've tried this now on 2 different computers. When you download the drivers put them in a special folder like c:\camcorder and then plug in the camcorder. It should ask if you want to install automatically or if you want to select the driver to install. Tell it you want to select the driver to install. Select the location with the "Browse" button. Point it to C:\camcorder and it should find the drivers you downloaded. Note: You may need to unzip the drivers after downloading. Be sure you unzip them to c:\camcorder and if the file that downloads is an .exe file you will run it instead of doing the steps I described. |
