Hello,
I was wondering if anybody could help. I have a panasonic DVD recorder, which I use to record programmes from the television and from my digital camera (using the red white and yellow leads), and they burn to disc perfectly. My problem is that when I try to play these DVDs on other player, ANY other player in fact, they just wont play at all. Is there a really obvious reason for this or are they just meant for one specific player (which I cant believe is true!)
Having burned off digital camera footage to a dvd (which plays back fine), Its no good as I cant play the dvds in other peoples players, when i go round to show them, which is getting on my nerves a bit.
Thanks for your help in advance,
cheers
Martin. have you finalised the Recording. Cause Only after finalising it can be played in other players. when you have complete your recordings you have to "finalize" them-that is to say they can be played on other dvd players but some dvd players (such as my sony) won't play burned recordings. Yeah what they said, also usually not the case but make sure your media is compatable. DVD+R DVD-R. some dvd players don't like +R ans some don't like -R my sony likes them all if you are using Ram then check that too. What type of disc are you burning it on?
I myself using DVD-Rs and after I recorded the show I finalized the disc before I take the disc out of the DVD recorder Sounds like you have format problem.
Check your owners manual for your player and see what format it will play. Most players will play either + or - Blank DVDs , some newer models will play both formats, but most play one or the other. And neither format is compatible with the other. |
