Mini DV Camcorder Help!!!?

I have been researching mini dv camcorder after camcorder, driving myself crazy, I am in the market to spend no more than $500 on a nice still/video camera (the cheaper the better but mainly looking for the best camera for the bext deal). I wold like decent low light performance, working well as a digital camera, well inside and outside with just a few extra features. I was looking it seems Panasonic is the best...what do you think????

first of all you have to make up your mind about which things are priority for you.Do you want 4:3 and 16:9 video recording?Do you want DV in/out?Anolog in?etc...
the tricky thing about cameras which cost less than 500$ is recording in low light invironments,Most of mini mini DV camcorders perform well with light but in many of them you get a bad quality video when light is low.
For me three good choices are Canon optura 100(called MVX 460 in europe) Panasonic PV-GS 180-has no dv in-( if you can aford go to Panasonic PV-GS 300) and Canon optura 50( more expensive choice).
It depends on how much money you are willing to pay.
For more information on camcorders visit www.camcorderinfo.com,you can learn much in this site and be helped to make a good choice.

So good luck and sorry for my English

i like the sony hc96 for $625 on http://www.newegg.com its good in low light and has a very good video quality but whatever you decide to buy i think that you should buy it from newegg.com because it seems to be the cheapest place to buy stuff

Use your question as a search subject and try doing an internet search or just search Yahoo answers. You might be surprised to find the answer that you've been looking for -at least in the meantime while you are waiting for the right answer (or perhaps just a confirmation to the answer you've found) here...

I've worked proffesionally with cameras. Sony and Panasonic are great. Go to B&H Photo if you are in new york.

Get digital, they have better quality and out last analogue. Spend for the features you need and get what you can afford.

It's not just the camera and all the features that is important, but content. What you are taping is the most important thing. Birthday, anniversary and vacations.

You need to set your priorities. Digital still cameras have limited video capabilities. Digital vidoe cameras have limited still picture capabilities. What most important? You won't get both in one product.
