I recently purchased a camcorder and I am trying to figure out how I can import the video to Windows Movie Maker. It's saying that the video is not a supported format. I am really not having any luck with Nero either. Is there any way I can change the format so that Movie Maker accepts it. I have tried recording both VR and Video, but neither are accepted.
And I'll slip in another question. I have taken video on my digital camera, and it is used as a QuickTime file. This is also not supported in Movie Maker. Do I have any options with this as well.
Should I just return the camcorder and get one that will work with Movie Maker? Is there such a camcorder? I really like the features on Movie Maker, so it is priority #1. when you are connecting your camcorder to the computer it should say its connected by that a screen pops up saying would you like to capture from movie maker. If that screen does not pop up then there may be a problem of what cables you are using. Does your camcorder use DV mini tapes? If so you will need a DV cable cord. reply back if this has not answered your question. hopefully this has helped in some way |
