Which is better and is smaller in mbs?

I want to upload and edit a video from my panasonic digital video camera and i want to know which format is best quality and which is less mbs and which is the best for youtube?

To edit the best format is one that doenst recompress, such as MS-DV. You'll end up needing around 18GB per hour of video, plus that same space again when you need to export your finished video. Its best to only compress to a lower quality right at the end. Youtube uses a format called FLV.

Uploading and editing has to be done in full size AVI format. Then you produce or render a version in another format like 320x200 or 160 x 100 MPEG2 or MOV or WMF.

Use a program I use called Blaze Media Pro which allows you to manipulate and/or convert videos.

Mpeg is usually a good small size.
