I'm looking for a zoom lens for my wife's camera?

I've heard there are aftermarket lenses that have adapters to be able to fit on digital cameras that aren't made to have switchable lenses. My wife has a Panasonic DMC-LZ3 and I want to get her something for Christmas. Anyone have any advice on where I could find something?
