Upgrading from 9yo Sony Digital 8 camera. Is a 3 CCD or larger sensor better to get?

The panasonic SDR-H250 looks great with 3CCD's
Or the Sony DCRHC96 has a 1/3" sensor.
I do record video indoors and I don't like the image from the old sony D8 I own. Would the Panasonic have better low light than that? Or would I be better off going the sony with the larger sensor?

get a 3ccd. the video quality is broadcast quality and looks great. the panasonic would have better low light. the panasonic has better video quality.
