Which camera is better, and whats the main difference?

which camera is better, and whats the main difference? i want to get a digital camera, but i dont understand why #1 camera's price is decreased so much. And what the difference between #1 and #2.

Look to be about the same in things they can do... id go with the cheaper one... its a lot less expensive and does just about everything the other does. They get cheaper because they are technology and tech stuff keeps getting cheaper to make way for newer stuff.

It appears, at least from the specs they show on that website, that the only difference is that the second one is pink. Sometimes companies charge more for special colored items. Whether it actually is a higher production cost for them to make the pink one or they're just trying to take advantage of the parents of pre-teen/teenage girls who beg them for a pink camera, I don't know.

Unless you really want a pink camera, go with the first one and save yourself a few bucks. Use the extra money to buy a bigger memory card.

Yeah, they are identical except for color.
FX8S = silver.
FX8P = pink.
If it was gold, it would be FX8G.

I would pass on both of those and buy a cannon a550 I have one and it takes amazing pictures it also cost the same as the panasonic. Not to mention Cannon is huge in the camera arena and knows what they are doing when it comes to taking pictures

Its merely because of the different colors. Panasonic does that on all their models. Unless you want a particular color (pink in this case) ignore the last letter in the model number and buy the cheapest camera.
