I have a Lumix Panasonic dmc-fx3, I want to know the memory card that can hold 1,000 or more photos.? |
It is a 6.00 Megapixels camera. I got a 256mb sd card and it could only hold 45 photos last night so I wasnt able to take more pictures at my senior prom :(. A 2GB card will get you about 600 images and having a pair could help you from a catastrophic loss of all images. If you insist on a single card, a 4GB will hold about 1200 images. if you take the pictures at 6 megapixels then you get about 300 pictures on a 1gb card. 1gb is the same as 1024mb. So you actually took the card that is 4 times smaller than the one you had in the car. So if you follow the math you would need a 4gb card to hold about 1200 pics. The problem is that your camera doesnt support 4gb cards becuase those are SDHC cards which look like regular SD cards but are actually different on the inside. HC stands for High Capacity by the way. So there is no card that will hold 1000 pics for your camera. Most is about 600 pics with a 2.0gb card. What I'm telling you is approximate cuz it depends on the resolution you use, the compression you chose, and how complex of a scene you shoot each time. But yeah its about 600 pics with that camera with a 2.0gb card. A couple 2 gig cards should do, with some room to spare. |
