Could anyone advise me which is the best digital s.l.r camera?

I am a keen amatuer photographer and at present own a Panasonic FZ50 digital s.l.r. camera and am thinking of buying another camera around 拢300-拢400 range can anyone recommend a good camera in this price range.

in slr world the camera bodies and Megapixels are just 10 percent of making a good pic.90 percent depends on high quality accessories you take.the most important one is the lens.in other types of cameras the lens is fixed and it gives you just one chance.you may have a good zoom but the qualiy or the zoom range is fixed.in a slr the lense are interchangeable so you must pay money and attention to those that satisfy you more.after a good lens a powerful external flash is needed.flashes with rotating lamps and manual controls are very expensive.the net one is a stable tripod to hold your camera while you are taking lanscape pics or working by speeds lower than 1/30 sec.a safe backpack that keeps your camera away from rain and shocks would save you money too.if a lens breaks accidentally you'll regret and must pay a huge amount of money.have an extra battery and some empty mem cards too.a pair of special gloves that is sticky to keep you warm outside.a mini tea container.some wide and hardworking straps to carry your camera on your shoulder easily.
TO MAKE LONG STORY SHORT.if you try to buy all in cheapest price you'll see that a huge amount of money is neede so the best way is to save some.how? buy the cheapest slr possible and save some for accesoories.
the cheapest slr doesn't mean lowest quality because a slr is a high tech machine that just some proffessional companies are able to make.the cheapest slr today with specifications good for a begginer to a semi pro is NIKON D40x,around $600.10mp,nice handling, light and small.with a lot of pre-installed settings to make your job easy but they can be set manually too.it is my first and last suggestion to at least 10 people here in yahoo answers that all of them took it and they feel satisfied with their cameras.
good luck and apologize my poor english

Hi,
拢300 - 拢400 will get you a good entry-level Digital SLR, definitely advisable if you've never really had regular use with one!
I happen to use FujiFilm cameras a lot and am very impressed with their product range. They only have one digital SLR - the S5Pro - which is simply amazng. It's based on the Nikon D200 but a little pricey at around 拢800 +lenses!
I also own an old Nikon F50 SLR (35mm film) which is still going strong but doesn't get much use these days. I've had a look at a review of the Nikon D50 (http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews_n... which seems to say it's a pretty good investment. Ignore the prices as they're quite a bit cheaper now (around 拢400ish).
You could go for the D60, D70 or even D80 as well if you're feeling generous! Other possible makes you could explore are Canon, Pentax and Olympus. I found an article on CNET about entry-level Digital SLRs which might be useful (http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/digitalcameras...
Quick tip before you buy..compare prices at sites like kelkoo.co.uk, amazon or even google shopping, you'll be amazed at the difference in price ranges for the same product!

Hope that helps!
