What is the difference between spot metering and spot focus? |
What is the difference between spot metering and spot focus? and what situation I better use one instead of another? Spot metering is when the camera's light meter only reads the very center 5% of viewable area to determine exposure. This has more than a few uses. For instance, if you're taking a picture of a stage with a very dark background, if you meter for directly off of the stage, the rest of the picture will be dark, but the stage (the most important part) will be metered correctly. |
