Extended zoom capability in low resolution? |
Hi guys, I want to know whether Fuji FinePix F100fd or Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W170 has extended zoom capability in low resolution like most Panasonic digital cameras do? I can鈥檛 seem to find any review that says this鈥?anybody with these cameras maybe able to answer this. Thanks heaps !!! Yes, you can do that to the image from any digital camera. It's just a gimmick. The only zoom that matters is optical zoom. Digital zoom is cropping the image and resizing up to the full resolution of the camera. Digital zoom always affects image quality. Sounds like the Panasonic just crops in and doesn't resize the picture up to the full resolution. That way you get the illusion that your getting more zoom, but you really aren't. |
