Setting maximum shutter speed on Panasonic TZ5?

How is this different from the minimum shutter speed?

The quickest min shutter speed I can set my camera to is 1/200. I am trying to take pictures of falling water, and although they are coming out nicely at 1/200, i would like to see what a quicker shutter would result in.

Your highest shutter speed is 1/2000th, not 1/200th

However since your camera has no shutter speed priority mode, you will be stuck with trying to fool it by using some of the preprogramed settings ...

one I would try is the Sports or High sensitivity mode

If you want to take a picture of waterfall you need slow shutter speed and a tripod to keep your camera from shaking.
For your TZ5 http://astore.amazon.com/azq80-20/detail... you can try to set it to night or firework mode

And you need a ND filter in front of your lens to reduce the amount of light to enter the camera.
