Where can I download a trial version of digital camera software? |
I have a Pentax Optio 50L digital camera, but I don't have the software so I can't get my photos on the computer. Is there anywhere I can download a temporary version of the software so that I can transfer the photos? If you have Windows XP or later, all you need do is connect camera to computer and it should recognise it as additional drive and open to reveal a folder called DCIM inside which will be a folder with a name like PEN100 and inside that will be your photos. If your window is maximised you will have left hand pane showing various picture tasks, highlight all your pics and copy to My Pictures, or create a subfolder in My Pictures in which to put them. If your computer doesn't automatically recognise your camera when you connect, just open up My Computer yourself to locate it. You have Office Picture Manager on your computer which is a basic imaging program you can use for improving the photos. Unless you are going to do anything sophisticated with your photos like layering, cloning etc you will need something like Jasc Paintshop Pro or Adobe Photoshop, Photoelements or CS You don't need to have software to transform pics. Just a cable. You can also put the card into a cardreader and drag the pictures straight of that XP and Vista have a built in camera software that lets you copy the photos across. Apart from that when you plug your camera in it should show up as an external drive and you can drag and drop the photos. Just connect the camera to the PC using the USB and if u have Xp, it will detect n ask for transfer n u can do so as per instructions... Just use the USB cable that plugs into your camera. 'googling I found that Pentax Optio 50L's uses ACDSee software. I tried to see if you could download the software from them for free, but no! Try Downloads.com, Download Squad.com. You don't need trial ware software. Do a web search for the camera you have and download the software from the camera site. http://computershell.es.tl/Manage-Pictur... |
