Which digital camera is better: Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W55, or Pentax Optio M30? |
The main thing I'm looking at is picture quality: which has better quality when taking pictures? here's a side-by-side comparison of the specs: Sony sucks dont get it! they both have great quality, but i think the sony is easier to use. if you are good with technology, however, just look at price. both pictures will turn out amazing. ask the store if you can try it out while still in the store and see for yourself. i have a sony cybershot dsc-s650 and it takes awesome pictures, the battery life sucks though. here's a link to them on ebay. I have an older sony. I think you'll find the sony to have a faster start up time and better shot to shot time. Sony does a better than average job with that. To get that, they chose to create their own more expensive flash memory. The memory will not be compatible with any other non-Sony. Whatever you get, don't just buy the cheapest memory card. All memory cards are not created equal. Every brand produces various speeds for each capacity. A slow memory card results in slow picture taking. Finding out the speed is the tricky part. It's not public knowledge as most of the public doesn't think about that sort of thing. Check www.tigerdirect.com. The Sony. Much better camera. Zeiss lens. I have a Kodak EasyShare C433 with a 1 gb meemory card upgrade. That was about 124 bucks for the both. Then spend another on a battery recharger kit that comes with 4 batteries designed for digital cameras. This camera uses 2 of them and with the memory upgrade it even has a video record feature that can keep up to an hours worth of video. Keep it down to 5 min though so you can post it on youtube like I did. www.youtube.com/happycabbie |
