I need help with my digital camera!!!!?

it's a sony cybershotDSC-T70 w 8.1 mega pixels BUT the pix that i take are worse than the ones i take w/ my decade old Pentax pc-505 f=35mm , not exagerattin! Please
i turned the macro on an dthe pix are A BIT better but not much
any tips?

There are three things that determine the resolution of a camera ... 1) pixel count, 2) size of the sensor and 3) the analog to digital processing within the camera.

Your PC-505 shoots 35mm film .. at this point in time NO compact digital camera can produce the same quality images of 35mm film

take it back to where you got it & ask if there is something wrong with it

Well first you should make sure that you usually take pictures on auto. then if that is not the case u should go to the settings and make sure that the picture size is on the highest quality.

it could be that your automatic focus was nocked out of alighnment but there isnt much you can do for that on your own

this just means that your camera has bad quality and you can't really do anything to fix it except but a new one
I recommend anything of a canon brand-they have the best picture qualityy

Grab a soft cloth, and gently rub the lens. Also, if your camera supporst Lens Clean, (which should be somewhere in the settings), you can click that and it will clean the inner lens, incase of any dirt.

Also, your pictures could be turning out bad because you shake the camera when taking a shot. Make sure you are almost completely still, otherwise they will turn out blurry.

maybe you need to change the landscape...like to sports or sunset or snow or whtever you are takin a picture of it makes it turn out better.
if that doesnt work i suggest a new camera!
