Can't email pix from ACDSee. Help?

Have a Pentax Optio T30 digital camera and HP tx 1320us notebook bought last year, new. I've tried emailing pix 9 times since I've gotten notebook. Following options come up when I've selected pix to email: send messages using default email client or send messages thru an smtp server. I've tried both options. Error message is: server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.
I don't believe there is a server problem and there is still activity/connected. I'm not totally computer illiterate but mainly use for emailing, banking, browsing, shopping, etc. Nothing too complicated. Can anyone help? Thanks!

If you're able to use your computer for other banking, browsing, shopping, etc there's probably nothing wrong with your machine. Follow the instructions in this ACDSee tutorial for sending emails.

And if that doesn't help you could consider an alternate image sharing service like shutterfly, ACDSee's Sendpix, etc.

These are image hosting/storing sites. You upload your images to them. They create a photo album with a unique URL (web address) that your friends or family can use to access the album
