Creative project for The Great Gatsby? |
I have a project assignment that requires that i do anything except an essay. i was thinking about a modern interpretation of the novel, based on a certain chapter. (as in a collage with black and white photos) does anyone have any helpful ideas? I did a cd cover for my Great Gatsby project. I got like pictures of people from the 1920s and put them up there also I made up song titles that coincided with the novel. If it were my assignment, I would do a miniture model of East and West Egg Island-I loved the way it was detailed in the book. I just read the book. I'm an artsy person so I probably would have done some sort of miniature landscape of the 'egg', you know, the place where the characters live in.Gatsby's mansion and Nic's house at West Egg and Daisy and Tom's house by the East Egg. But that's just me. Your idea is pretty good, too. that's a cool idea. maybe you could make the collage so it looks like the eyes... or glasses or whatever they were. like take the darker pics and use them to make an outline of glasses and then the lighter pics can be the background. make some blue jello then buy an action figure lay down the action figure in the jello as it solidifies when almost solidified inject some red dye for blood now you have an edible great gatsby scene enjoy maybe even make your action figure out of some food so you can eat that part too yum jello The collage/cd cover idea is really cool. You could add to it by making a soundtrack to the book. Maybe find a song that would go with each chapter or something? Use the links for ideas. The Great Gatsby - F. Plot Overview Nick Carraway, a young man from Minnesota, moves to New York in the summer of 1922 to learn about the bond business. He rents a house in the West Egg district of Long Island, a wealthy but unfashionable area populated by the new rich, a group who have made their fortunes too recently to have established social connections and who are prone to garish displays of wealth http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/gatsby/sum...
