I'm a student looking to buy a new computer. I will be doing things like type essays, do research, upload photos, watch youtube, download music, itunes, AIM, and play maplestory. I don't know what my new computer should be like. Should it be an AMD Athlon x2, or intel core 2 duo. How many hard drive, how many memory space. I'm very lost. Please help me!
It will probably be Vista so i would recommend 2 gigabytes of RAM, a 120+ gigabyte hard drive, Athlon X2 or Core 2 Duo (does not matter for you because you are not doing any taxing applications that will need a more specialized processor) and something better than on board video and the lower video cards you can get. Get one with at least 256 megabytes of dedicated video memory. For inexperienced computer people, who usually want to know the price of things, you should be around 100 to 120 dollars for the video card because maple story is not very taxing and your system memory will help you out as well. |
